Cashew Banana Ice Cream

I’ve been really into banana “ice cream” lately.  I love playing around with the recipe and tossing different ingredients in to the food processor.  It satisfies my sweet tooth and love for all things smooth and creamy.  The texture gets even better when I toss some nuts into the mix–a little crunch with the smooth. This is a recipe I recently whipped up:


  • 2-3 frozen banana, partially defrosted (10 minutes)
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 2 dates
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
  • 1 tbsp hemp protein (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 squirt agave nectar


  • Put it all in the food processor and blend, baby, blend (will take several minutes to mix well)
  • Enjoy!

  1. Perhaps you should just start a baby food business? You love smoooshed food! Eventually you will have babies………………….just thinking out loud here.
