I know I said I was going to juice feast every 7th day but due to the fact that we plan to hike on Sunday and I’d rather have something a bit more chewable while hiking, I went for it! Breakfast was 2 large juices, freshly juiced in the old Juice Man, Lunch a green smoothie and kombucha, and dinner was an avocado blended with water, cayenne, and garlic mixed greens, followed by a big green smoothie. There was lots of tea and teechino in between. The big victory of the day? Ordering a rooibos tea at Starbucks when I had to make an emergency lunch stop for Leif while out and about.
The day, I would say, was a success. Leif and I got a long woodsy walk in, we got a double jogging stroller off craigslist so I can transport both Leif and my niece, Lily, simultaneously and the best thing happened to be at REI. I went looking for the car seat adapter for the stroller (which is several years old) and it turns out REI has one left in the country (they use a different model now). Its in Michigan and I was not only able to secure it, but get 50% off and have it shipped to our house for free. Boom! Good stuff. I felt like the universe was telling me it was meant to be! Also stayed on track with my yoga challenge!
I was also encouraged today by several people doing the 21 day challenge that successfully navigated sticky situations in which they have some patterns they are trying to avoid! Way to go, wellness warriors! Its also okay if you slipped off course a bit. Shrug that off. Don’t beat yourself up and make yourself something delightful and refreshing to start tomorrow off right!
Meditation: Today while Leif and I were walking in the woods, I thought about breathing out negative thoughts that I tend to dwell on. I imagined the trees absorbing them, filtering them, and then giving warm, life giving affirmations back into the world. Ahhhh, it was so good.
